Robert W. (Milo) Kendrick, Jr., 82, of Dallas, NC, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on June 21, 2025, at Atrium Health Lincoln, in Lincolnton, NC. He was husband to the late Delanne Peek Kendrick with whom he shared 56 wonderful years.
He was born on December 5, 1942, in Gastonia, NC, son of the late Robert W. Kendrick, Sr. and Julia Blanche Gaddy. He was a graduate of Frank L. Ashley High School and was retired from Packaging Unlimited in Lincolnton, NC. Other significant employers were Westvaco Corporation, Gastonia, NC; Dixie Reel & Box Company, Charlotte, NC; and Miles Concrete of Gastonia.
Robert was a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather. He was a member of McAdenville Baptist Church, McAdenville, NC; prior to that he attended Woodlawn Baptist Church in Lowell, NC. He loved to fish and was an avid sports fan, loving the Atlanta Braves, Washington Redskins, and WWE Wrestling. He took his civic duty very seriously, always attending Dallas Town Hall meetings and speaking his mind when he deemed it necessary.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Left to cherish his memories are his children, Allyson Waldrop (Ron), Chris Kendrick (Connie), and Eric Kendrick (Leslie); grandchildren, Taylor, Hayden, Laramy Waldrop, Talmage (Haley) Kendrick, Payton (Dewey) Jones, Madyson Kendrick; and five great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service, officiated by Pastor Walter Griggs, will be held 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 24 at McAdenville Baptist Church, 192 Main St., McAdenville, NC. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
