Robert Conner Jr.

Robert Conner Jr., 62, of Gastonia, passed away January 17, 2018.

He was born January 4, 1956, a native of Gaston County, the son of Robert Conner Sr. and the late Helen Jewel Cunningham Conner.

Left to cherish his memories along with his father are his son Ryan Conner; daughters Melissa Long and husband David, Kasey Starnes and fiancé Kenneth Nixon; brother Tim Conner and wife Alisa; sisters Angela "Angie" Saunders and husband Tim, Christy Davidson and husband Jay; grandchildren William Ellis, Zoey Conner, Allison Oder, Skyler Maynor and Brentley Long; nieces and nephews, Matt, Somer, Dylan, Trevor and Henry.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandchildren Layla Grace Long and Jayden Nixon.

A funeral service, officiated by the Victoria Simmons, will be held 4 pm Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be private.
