Robert Douglas Jenkins

Robert "Doug" Douglas Jenkins, 69, of Bessemer City, passed away on July 11, 2023, at his home.

He was born September 11, 1953, in Gaston County, son of the late Robert Blair Jenkins and Mary Crigger Jenkins.

Doug was a very unique and talented guy. He never met a musical instrument he couldn't learn to play, nor a plant he couldn't grow or revive. That talent was on display at Ford's Seed Store for many years. And at the Gastonia Little Theater, his acting skills came in full view and were shared with his fellow actors and audiences."

A graveside service will be held 10:00 am Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Pisgah ARP Church Cemetery Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Rick Lewis.

Doug is survived by his brother, Scott Jenkins and wife Peggy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Tri-County Animal Rescue P.O. Box 483 Alexis, NC 28006.
