Robert "Bob" Glenn Sisk, 69, of Gastonia, passed away, Friday, March 27, 2015 at his residence. He was born May 17, 1945 in Rutherford County, son of Ruby Nix Sisk and the late, Louis Sisk. In addition to his father, Mr. Sisk was preceded in death by his sister, Yvonne S. Parson. In addition to his mother, he is survived by Pat Haney, his life partner of 35 years and her children, Joe Jr., Sharmie, Kay, and little Joe Ray, whom he loved dearly. He is also survived by his nephews and niece, Donnie, Gary, and Dana Parson. Bob enjoyed traveling in his motorhome to dirt track races around the country in earlier years. He was a US Army veteran and served in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne Division. He was a lineman for the Gastonia City Electrical Dept., a building inspector/code enforcement officer for Gaston County and retired from Lincoln County as a building/code enforcement officer. He had also been a self-employed electrician. A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Junior Morris, will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. The family will receive at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont.
