Robert John Forman

We are sad to announce the passing of Robert John Forman, who was born on September 5, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He peacefully left this world on July 14, 2024, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

Robert, known to his friends as Bob, was a hardworking man in the road construction industry, where he served as a superintendent for many years. Robert was a proud member of the NRA and loved guns and target practicing at the range. He enjoyed watching old westerns. In his younger, days he drove his family crazy playing the drums around the house.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Christine Deakins (Brian), cherished granddaughter, Alyssa Deakins Makarow (Monty), his adored grandson, Tyler Deakins, and best friend Tom Richards, and a host of other family and friends. Bob's memory will live on through his family and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

All services will be held private by the family in honor of his wishes.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Lenore Forman; brothers, Fred, George and Richard Forman.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service located at 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia.
