Robert "Buddy" Eldridge Brown

Robert "Buddy" Eldridge Brown, 73, formerly of Gastonia, passed away on March 15, 2021 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA.

Robert was born in Bartow County, GA on April 24, 1947 to the late Robert W. and Earlene Gill Brown.

He loved his family and had a very strong faith. He was a proud Veteran, and his greatest joy was helping others.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Yanette Brown; daughter, Angi Y. Brown; and siblings Nicole, Terry, Mary Ann Shaw, and Patsy B. Lamb.

Robert is survived by his son, Shad Brown; daughter-in-law, Kelly Brown; brother, Rocky Brown; brother-in-law, Richard Lamb; sisters, Linda, Glenda, Kelly, and April; grandchildren, Chase Martin and Lydia Brown; and his official service dog and best friend that never left his side, Hank.

A funeral service officiated by Rev. Cody Mummau, will be held 1pm, Monday, March 29, 2021 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service - 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC, 28052.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
