Robert James Briand, Sr.

Robert James Briand, Sr., 82, of Clover, SC, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

He was born October 2, 1941, in Massachusetts, son of the late Donald and Alice Briand.

Robert was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He retired from Duke Energy, after 25 years of employment. He also played the drums and guitar in the family band, and loved music, and riding his tractor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Hughes Briand.

Robert is survived by his sons, Bobby, Ronny, and Dwayne; brothers, Duck Briand, and Mikie Briand; grandchildren, Robert, Amber, Jean-Luc, Dusty, Keaton, and Taylor; numerous great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law/best friend, Sam Hughes and wife Barbara.
