Robert Braswell

Robert Leo Braswell, 72, of Gastonia, passed away June 3, 2012 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. He was born April 27, 1940 in Gastonia son of the late James Leo and Innas Webb Braswell. Mr.Braswell was a member of Crowders Mountain Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He served with the US Army for 24 years as a medic. A memorial service will be held 1:00 pm on Thursday at Crowders Mountain Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, officiated by Rev. Larry Laws. The family will receive friends 7:00-9:00 on Wednesday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, Gastonia. Inurnment with Military Honorswill be at Olney Presbyterian Church Cemtery, Gastonia. Mr. Braswell is survived by: his loving wife of 53 years, Gayle Williams Braswell of the home; sons, Bob Braswell and wife Lisa of Gastonia, Matt Braswell and wife Phyllis of Bessemer City; daughter, Robin Heath and husband Charles of Gastonia; sisters, Patsy Braswell of Gastonia, Jill Mullinax of Cliffside, NC; grandchildren, Steven Black, Joseph McCullough, Leah Braswell and finance` Jerry Mashaw, Joshua and Matthew Braswell, Stephanie Smith, Jessica Heath. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: brother, Blair Braswell. Memorials may be sent to Crowders Mountain Baptist Church, 125 Mayberry Lane Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
