Robert Michael Blankenship

Robert Michael (Mike) Blankenship was born September 22, 1958, in Banner Elk, North Carolina and sadly passed away in Belmont, NC on May 21, 2026, at the age of 67. He is the only son of the late Junior and Paula Blankenship, and brother to the late Anita McAndrew.

Mike was a mechanic for the textile industry for more than twenty years. He loved playing his guitar and listening to the Beatles.

He was a loving son, brother, father and grandfather.

Mike is survived by his sons Brandon and Michael Blankenship of Gastonia, NC; seven grandchildren; and sisters Jackie Falls of Kings Mountain, NC, and Debbie Butler of Gastonia, NC.

Mike, may your song linger on forever. You are truly loved and missed.

A celebration of life will occur privately for his family.
