Robert "Bob" Arthur Barnes

Robert "Bob" Arthur Barnes, 83, of Gastonia, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

He was born June 8, 1938, son of the late George and Leota Barnes.

Bob was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in McAdenville where he served on the Board of Deacons and participated in the choir.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Bobby Sue.

Left to cherish his memories are his daughter Laura Barnes Browning of Vancouver; sons, Darren Eller and wife, Tiffany of Mount Holly, Chad Eller of Gastonia; sisters-in-law, Shirley Helton and husband, Johnny of Belmont, Gail Horn and husband, Sam of Gastonia; brother-in-law, Danny Baxter and wife, Ann of Cherryville; and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Interment is private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lakeview Baptist Church, P.O. Box 486 McAdenville, NC 28101.
