Robert "Bobby" Alexander

Gastonia, NC Robert "Bobby" Alexander, 65, passed away December 3, 2012 at his home. He was born January 2, 1947 in Gaston County, son of Kathleen Painter Alexander and the late Jonah "Alex" Alexander. Bobby was a member of First Assembly of God, Gastonia where he was an usher and he was also a US Army Veteran. A memorial service will be held 3 pm on Friday at First Assembly of God, Gastonia, officiated by Pastor David Scruggs. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm on Thursday at the church. Interment is private. He is survived by: his wife , Barbara Jean Poteat Alexander; daughter, Christy Noel and her husband, Shawn Brown; brother, John Alexander and wife, Janet; sister, Kathy Cearley and her husband, Robbie; grandchildren, Celia and Olivia Noel-Brown; nieces and nephews, Ryan and Kelly Alexander, Meredith Puzenski, Haley Bouldin. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a son, Chad Alexander. Memorials may be made to, The Compassionate Friends, Southern Piedmont Chapter, P. O. Box 3696, Oak Brook, Il 60522.
