Robert Lee Absher Iii

Robert Lee Absher III, 56, of Hickory, passed away January 5, 2023, at Atrium Medical Center in Charlotte.

A Gaston County native, he was born August 31, 1966, son of the late Robert Lee Absher Jr. and Mary Ann Witherspoon Absher Cagle of Cherryville.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 12 years, Paula Absher, of the home; daughters, Vickye, Amanda, Leann, and Danielle; brother, Phillip Absher; grandson, Liam; father-in-law, Paul Reinhardt; aunts and uncles, Rita and Max Clark, Kay and Paul Pittman, Alice and David Hansel, Linda and Don Childers; niece, Charlene and Ryan Emitt; great-nephews, Carson and Ozzie Emitt; numerous cousins and friends.

Robert loved spending time working on his car and going to car shows. He loved his fur baby (Casey), and had some special friends that he dearly loved, David Farnsworth and Jo Setzer.

A memorial service officiated by Pastor Bob Holtsclaw, will be held 2pm, Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Missionary Methodist Church, 318 W. Ballard St., Cherryville.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
