Rita Lea Mitchem Waldrop

Rita Lea Mitchem Waldrop, 79, of Mt. Holly passed away Friday, February 7, 2014, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. She was born March 10, 1934 in Gaston County to the late David Worthly Mitchem and Lillian Bessie Mason Mitchem. A graveside service will be held 2pm Monday, February 10 at Gaston Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. David Clippard. Ms. Waldrop is survived by: sons, Jeff Waldrop and wife Charlotte, Greg Waldrop and wife Rhonda; daughters, Jill Potts, Jan Rhinehart and husband Mike; sisters, Faye Bumgardner and husband Mike, Alta Durden, Martha Graham; eight grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: brother, Hugh Mitchem; sister, Vivian Dellinger. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
