Ricky Smith

Ricky Lee Smith, 60, of Gastonia, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 24, 2021, at his home.

A lifelong resident of Ranlo, born on March 16, 1961, son of the late Roy V. and Mae Nantz Smith.

Ricky was quite a character, he loved music and fishing. He had a very huge and loving heart and was loved by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Judy Maiers, Trudy Hammonds, and Janet Crouse and longtime partner and companion, Marilyn Estes.

Left to cherish Ricky's memories are his son, T.W. Dover; brother, Jimmy A. Price (Tammy); special friend and caretaker, Marie Mathis; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and special cousin, Phillips Kistler (Teresa).

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00pm on October 24, 2021, at The Ranlo Lodge at 2000 Spencer Mtn Road.
