Ricky Eugene Rimmer

Ricky Eugene Rimmer, 73, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at his residence.

He was born March 16, 1951, a native of Gaston Co, son of the late J.C. Rimmer and Amy Elrod Horne.

Rick was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He loved his family and was a hard-working man who was always willing to help anyone. Rick was a member of Independent Baptist Tabernacle, Dallas, and was a former charter member of Landmark Baptist Church, Gastonia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Virgil Sutton.

Rick is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Diann Spencer Rimmer; son, Brent Rimmer (Angela); brothers, Jimmy Rimmer, and Tommy Rimmer (Vickey); sister, Sharon McIlwain (Tommie); and grandchildren, Ben Hughes, and Seth Rimmer.

A memorial service officiated by Pastor Brian Spargo & Pastor Michael Spargo, will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Independent Baptist Tabernacle - 2128 Dallas Cherryville Hwy, Dallas, NC 28034.
