Ricky Dean Mcswain

Ricky Dean McSwain, 62, of Cherryville, NC, passed away Monday, May 15, 2023, at the Robin Johnson House, Dallas, NC.

He was born September 6, 1960, a native of Gaston Co, NC, son of Laura Barnette and the late Robert McSwain.

Ricky formerly attended Mt. Beulah Baptist Church, Bessemer City, NC. He was an avid motorcyclist, loved collecting antiques, loved history and genealogy, and also loved working on Volkswagens with his dad. Ricky was a kind-hearted and humble man.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rhonda Stillwell.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Randy McSwain and wife Ginger; sister, Robin Padgett and husband Dale; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 6-8pm, Thursday, May 18, 2023, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice – (The Robin Johnson House) PO Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054.
