Rick Moose

Rick Moose, 74, of Gastonia, passed away September 9, 2023, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

He was born October 1, 1948, in Gaston County, son of the late Hubert Boyce Moose and Lillie Sosebee Moose.

Rick was a US Army veteran who proudly served his country.

He loved to dance and take trips to the mountains.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Johnny Yarboro.

The family will receive friends 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Westview Gardens in Bessemer City, with military honors provided by the US Army.

Rick is survived by his son, Robert Moose; his daughter, Brandy Wells (Marc); brothers, Boyce Moose (Linda), Randy Moose, Scott Moose (Tina), Barry Moose (Norma); sister, Frankie Givens (Eddie); grandchildren, Carson Wells, Gracin Wells; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his wife, Sherrill Moose; sister, Shirley Bridgeman.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service located at 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia.
