Richard Owens

Richard Nathan Owens, 67, of Gastonia, NC passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

He was born on July 26, 1953, in Gaston County to the late Marshall Owens and Sally Teague Owens.

Richard served in the United States Army for 22 years as a Staff Sergeant.

He was a member of Crowders Chapel and loved playing Candy Crush Saga.

In addition to his parents, Richard is preceded in death by brothers, Charles and Ray Owens.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 48 years, Linda Laws Owens; daughters, Lorie Brock (Roger), Jeanette Conner (Chris), and Annette Voyles (Jason); brother, Marshall Owens (Linda); sisters, Mary Walker, Shelby Canipe, Shirley Lewis, and Patricia Owens; grandchildren, Memphis, Rhodie, Sadie, Hali, Katie, Roger Jr., and Ashley; great-grandchildren Leland and Aiden.
