It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard Dewayne Musgrave, who was born on January 11, 1958, in Coco Beach, FL. Richard, a beloved husband to Sylvia Musgrave, passed away on August 17, 2024, at his residence in Mc Bee, SC.

Richard was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in fishing and hunting. He cherished spending time with his family at the lake, casting lines and enjoying the serenity of nature. He also has a passion for motorcycles, and was fond of riding whenever he could. Richard was member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Jefferson, SC, he found solace in his faith and community.

Fondly remembered as a loving patriarch, Richard adored his family unconditionally. Left to cherished Richard's memories are his wife, Sylvia Musgrave of 17 years; daughter,  Amanda Wooten (Chad); sons, Richard Bradley Musgrave, Peyton Musgrave; step sons, William Akers Jr., Aaron Akers; brothers, Sam Wilkes Musgrave (Jennifer), Robert Wayne Musgrave, Jr. (Christy); sisters, Dawn Daum (Brian), Deanie Haynes; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Betty Musgrave; and sister, Brenda Darlene.

He shared a special bond with his dogs, Little Bit and Chloe, who brought him endless companionship. In the past, he even had a pet duck named Elliot, showing his compassionate nature towards all creatures.

A funeral service to honor Richard's life officiated by Pastor Mike Criswell will be held at Greene Funeral Service South Chapel on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Prior to the service, a visitation will take place at the same location at 1:00 pm. In accordance with his wishes, Richard will be cremated.

Let us come together to celebrate the life of Richard Dewayne Musgrave, a man who touched the hearts of many and left a lasting legacy of love, faith, and cherished memories.
