Richard Nathanial Doster

Richard Nathanial Doster, 77, of Bessemer City, passed away May 5, 2015 at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas. He was born February 20, 1938 in York County, SC to the late Pelham Jerome and Josie Mae Doster He was a member of South Gastonia Church of God. Richard is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Doster of Bessemer City, Frances Burns and husband Jim of Gastonia; son, Carl Green and wife Jennie of Mt. Holly; brother, Ernest Doster of Chester; sisters, Beulah Register of Eastover, SC, Elizabeth McFalls of Greenwood, SC; grandchildren, Brian Burns, Hali Green, Carla Green, Kristina Deal, Reggie Deal and Mark Mills; 9 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Doster and daughter, Gail Maners. A funeral service will be held Friday 3pm at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel 1503 S. York Road, Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Wayne Philbeck. The family will receive friends Friday 2-2:45 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Edgewood Cemetery, Lowell, NC.
