Rev.Roger Steven Glance

Rev.Roger Steven Glance, 71, of Bessemer City, passed away on February 20, 2016, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, surrounded by his wife and children.

He was born July 19, 1944, in Gaston County, son of the late Willard Lee Glance and Sadie Mae Gentry Glance.

Rev. Glance was a faithful member of Apostolic Tabernacle of Newton for 50 years, where he served as a church deacon.

He worked for TCI Mobility Inc. for over 50 years.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m.  Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Living Word Tabernacle, 4432 Kings Mountain Highway Bessemer City, officiated by Pastor Josh Bennett.

The family will receive friends 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia.

Burial will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.

Rev. Glance is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Libby Harper Glance; sons, Timothy Paul Glance and wife, Sarah, Aaron Samuel Glance and wife, Stacey, Jason Shea Glance and wife, Bonnie, David Wesley Glance; daughters, Molly Melissa Glance, Crystal Hope Glance; brother, Wayne Glance; sister, Shirley Canipe; nineteen grandchildren; seven great – grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by grandson, Logan Alan Carver; two sisters and two brothers.
