Reverend Ray Dinkle

Clover, SC - Rev. Ray Dinkle, 84, of Clover, SC passed away Sunday, December 8th, at Caromont Regional Med. Ctr., Gastonia, Gaston County, NC. He was born September 14, 1929 in Bedford County, Virginia to the late Clifford Baxter and Nannie Dinkle. He was a member of Mt. View Agape Church in Kings Mountain. Rev. Dinkle was also Assistant Pastor and Sunday school teacher for over 33 years. He was a man of God and a wonderful example for all to follow. A funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 11 at Mt. View Agape Church, Kings Mountain, NC officiated by the Rev. Harry Davis and Rev. Ronnie Pendleton. The family will receive friends 6:30 - 8:30 pm Tuesday, December 10 at the church, 506 Sparrow Springs Rd., Kings Mountain, NC 28086. Interment will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens, York, SC. He is survived by his wife of over 64 years, Betty Dinkle of the home; children: Linda Ledford, Janet Hedrick, Gina Stewart and husband, Boyd, Cathy Davis and husband, Larry; son-in-law, Don Roland; 33 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and best friend and Pastor, Harry Davis. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 11 siblings; daughter, Karen Roland; 3 son-in-laws and 2 grandsons. Memorials may be made to Mt. View Agape Church, Kings Mountain, NC 28086 Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
