Renia Patterson Dye

Gastonia, NC Renia Patterson Dye "Cook", age 46, passed away February 9, 2013 at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia. She was born October 27, 1966 in Lincoln County, daughter of Brenda Rogers Meeks and Teddy Patterson. Renia was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church, Gastonia. A memorial service will be held 4 pm on Wednesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Darin Gibbs. The family will receive friends 3-4 on Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment is private. In addition to her parents, she was survived by: her fiance, Michael Cook; daughter, Danielle Dye and her fiance, Mark Powell; son, Shawn Minerva; step-children, Crystal Cook, Michael Jr. and Amber Cook, Lisa and Craig Capps; brothers, Tommy Meeks, Bartley Meeks III; sisters, Victoria Hogan, Robina Ewing; grandmother, Irene Rogers; grandchildren, Savannah and Shelby Powell, Laylah Lindsay, Kattie Hall, Chandler Capps, Cade and Caylie Conner; nieces and nephews, Stephanie, James, Jennifer. She was preceded in death by: step-father, Bartley Meeks Jr., grandfather, George Rogers, brother in-law, Joseph Lee Poole Jr. Memorials may be made to First Free Will Baptist Church, 2650 Union Rd., Gastonia, NC 28054.
