Regina Lynn Burnett

Regina Lynn Burnett, 46, of Stanley, went home to be with the Lord, September 9, 2015 at her residence. She was born July 24, 1969, a native of Gaston County, the daughter of Shirley Lee Fortenberry and the late Thomas Glen Edwards. Regina was a member of New Testament Church of the First Born in Gastonia. She loved her family and friends. She loved to help others and working with the children in Children's Church. Left to cherish her memories, along with her mother are her husband of over 26 years, Kenneth Ray Burnett II; son, Nathanael Burnett; brother, Scottie Edwards and special friends Margie Boyder and Ellen Walker. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Tony Edwards. A funeral service will be held 1 pm Saturday at New Testament of the First Born, 1508 Hargrove Road, Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Kevin L. Kellough and Curtis K. Wilson. The family will receive friends 6 - 8 pm Friday at the church. Interment will be in Gaston Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Testament of the First Born, 1508 Hargrove Road, Gastonia, NC 28052. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
