Rebeckah Lynn Aughtry

Rebeckah "Becky" Lynn Aughtry, 64, of Gastonia, passed away Friday, January 3, 2020, at the Robin Johnson House, Dallas.

She was born September 2, 1955, in Austell, GA, daughter of the late James Price Aughtry, Jr. and Kathryn Juanita Millen Aughtry.

Rebeckah was a member of Dallas Baptist Church. She had an associate degree in Fashion Design. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to everyone fortunate enough to meet her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Mike Aughtry.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Katie White and husband, George White II, Sarah Whittemore, Kelley Walkowiak and husband, Matthew; sister, Suzanne Whitten and husband, Jim; brothers, Joe Aughtry and wife, Beckie, Jeff Aughtry; aunt, Sue Weaver; uncle, Johnny Aughtry; grandchildren, Payton Robbins, Georgie White, James White, Elynnor White; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who became part of her family.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd. Gastonia. Rev. Bill Abrams and Rev. Scott Henson will be officiating the service.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be held at Gaston Memorial Park.
