Rebecca Anne Hodge Williams

Rebecca Anne Hodge Williams, 24, passed away January 6, 2015 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. She was born September 22, 1990 in Mecklenburg County, daughter of the late, Calvin John Hodge and Norma Jean Chapman. Rebecca was a very loving and sweet person, and a US Army veteran, who was resilient and brave. She had a passion for life and her son Riley. She always wanted to be a mother. She always wore a smile, never met a stranger and embraced everyone she met. She loved her dog. Rebecca's first born son, Riley was taken into eternal rest with her. Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents and grandmother, Gloria Hodge. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Williams of Stanley; brother, Josh Hodge; sister, Debbie Hodge of Gastonia; grandfather, John C. Hodge, Sr., close cousin, Jennifer Bumgardner; many other loving family members and her beloved dog, Joker. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Saturday at Temple Baptist Church, 701 Littlejohn Street, Gastonia, NC, officiated by the Revs. Dan King and Scott Whitener. Burial will be in Westview Gardens with military honors. Memorials may be made to: Levine Children's Hospital, PO Box 32861, Charlotte, NC 28232.
