Rebecca Jenkins Griffin

Rebecca Jenkins Griffin, 68, of Gastonia passed away Monday, October 26, 2015 at Alexandria Place. She was born August 25, 1947 in York County, daughter of the late Henry Banks Jenkins and Mildred Stewart Jenkins. Ms. Griffin graduated from McCormick High School and worked in several knitting mills in Gaston County. She worked as a beautician and CNA11 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. Left to cherish her memories are her husband Oscar Griffin; brother, Charles Jenkins and wife Carol of Clover, SC; sister, Debbie Ellerbe and husband Mac of Rock Hill SC; step-sons, Charles, Dan, Steve and Jack Griffin whom she helped raise; nieces, Christie Jenkins, Mandy Drawdy; nephew, Chuck Jenkins and wife Sara; great nephew, John Michael; great niece, Anna Banks. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers, Donald Jenkins, Jerry Jenkins. A memorial service will be held 3 pm Thursday at Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, South Chapel 1503 S. York Road. Gastonia, NC.
