Rebecca "Becky" Brewer

Rebecca "Becky" Brewer, 81, a native of Gaston Co, NC, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at her residence.

She was born April 14, 1941, daughter of the late Everitt Pressly and Elsie Braswell Hargett.

Rebecca was the sweetest lady you ever met and was a hard worker. She loved God, her family, singing, trips to the beach, and chicken.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, William "Bill" Brewer; son, Keith, and Jeff Brewer; and brother, Jerry Hargett.

Rebecca is survived by her son, Tim Brewer and wife, Kathy; daughter, Dawn Brewer and husband, Robert Henderson; brother, James "Hock" Hargett and wife, Shirley; grandchildren, Camron Brewer, Matthew Brewer, Ruthie Brewer, Amanda Beal, and Elizabeth Chapmen; and great-grandchildren, Alina Chapmen, Isaiah Ross, Adda Beal, Tristan Beal, Camron Brewer, Jr., William Brewer, and Mateo Brewer.

A memorial service officiated by Pastor Eddie Piercy, will be held 4pm on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
