Raymond David Kemp, a loving father and grandfather, dedicated machinist, and avid outdoorsman, passed away on November 11, 2024, in Gastonia, North Carolina at the age of 64. Born in Illinois on January 13, 1960, Raymond spent his life in pursuit of simple pleasures - he cherished fishing trips, camping adventures, and unwinding in his beloved man cave. His joy knew no bounds when surrounded by his family, especially his daughter, Amanda Kemp; and his grandchildren, Erika York, Mallory York, Karson York, and Sophia Wells, who lit up his world.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Kemp, and Bonnie Kemp.

Raymond's heart was as big as his passion for spending time with his loved ones and his faithful companion, Thump the dog. Throughout his life, he found solace in the great outdoors, cherishing the peaceful moments under the open sky.

A true craftsman by trade, Raymond worked diligently in the parts manufacture industry as a machinist. His dedication and skill were evident in the meticulous work he produced, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and precision.
