Raymond Edward Briggs

Raymond Edward Briggs, 75, of Gastonia, passed away Tuesday, December 10th, at his residence. He was born March 17, 1938, a native of Gaston County. Raymond enjoyed gold mining, working with wood, fishing and loved his family. Mr. Briggs was preceded in death by his mother, Monnie Briggs Hampton. A funeral service for Mr. Briggs will be held 11:00 am on Friday at Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel, Gastonia, interment will follow at Westview Gardens Cemetery, Bessemer City, NC. with releasing of the doves, officiated by Pastor Harold Ashe. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife, Joann Briggs; sons: Ronnie Briggs and wife, Sue, Gary Briggs and wife, Jo; daughters: Rhonda Conner and husband, Tony, Robin Dujardin and husband, John , Lisa Harris and husband, Scotty, 6 grandchildren and 8 great- grandchildren. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, 1503 S. York Rd. Gastonia.
