Ray Ronald Jackson

Ray Ronald Jackson, 90, of Dallas, passed away March 13, 2017.

He was born September 28, 1926, a native of Gaston County, the son of the late Max Hunter Jackson and Mazie Sisk Jackson.

Ray was a member of the First Wesleyan Church in Gastonia. He was also a veteran of the United States Army who served during WWII.

Left to cherish his memories are his son David Jackson and his deceased wife Sue; grandson Jeremy Jackson; granddaughter Jennifer Brosnahan and husband John; great-granddaughters Samantha and Emily; numerous nieces and nephews and son-in-law Ronnie Patterson.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Faye Rhyne Jackson; daughter Debra Patterson; brothers Kenneth, Richard and Pat Jackson.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastors Rick Hudgens and Tim Smith, will be held 3 pm Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at First Wesleyan Church in Gastonia.

The family will receive friends 2:30 – 3:00 pm prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Wesleyan Church, 208 S. Church Street, Gastonia, NC 28054.
