Ray "Hix" Gosnell, 84, of Bessemer City, passed away June 29, 2016 at The Hospice House of Rutherford County.

He was born February 26, 1932 in Rutherford County, the son of the late Melvin G. Gosnell and Nannie Pearl Smith.

A graveside service will be held 11 am Friday, July 1st at Hollywood Cemetery, 540 N. Broad Street, Gastonia.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
