Ray "Nick" Garmon

Ray "Nick" Dean Garmon, 70, of Gastonia, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 peacefully at his residence.

He was born on June 4, 1950, in Mecklenburg County, NC, to Evelyn Garmon and to the late Rayford Poole.

Ray was a veteran of the United States Army.

In addition to his father, Ray was preceded in death by his grandmother, Maggie Garmon; brother, Robert Conard; sister, Margaret Mason; brother-in-law, Lee Mason; and nephew, Richie Johnson, III.

Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Evelyn Garmon; loving wife for over 41 years , Nancy Garmon; son, James Allan Garmon (Michelle); daughter, Rita Stephanie Johnson (Dennis); grandchildren, Christopher Ramsey, Anna Johnson, Victoria Spencer, Michael Johnson, Mya Johnson and three others; nieces and nephews, Teresa Cagle (John), Eloise Eddington (Jamie), Christy Cagle, Nikki Lackey (Chad),Gail Sizemore (Rudy), Brandon Cagle, Matthew Johnson,  and Simon Johnson (Amelia)
