Randall "Scott" Rhyne

Randall "Scott" Rhyne, 65, of Oak Island passed away January 2, 2019 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
He was born in Gaston County on June 21, 1953 the son of the late Robert Ray Rhyne and Madelyn Johnson Rhyne. Scott was an avid car enthusiast. He loved going to car shows, fishing, golf and loved the Tarheels.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 45 years, Myra Eckard Rhyne; sons, Zane and Adam Scott Rhyne; grandchildren, Angelica Marie Rhyne and Ethan Scott Rhyne-Davis; brothers, Jerry Rhyne and wife, Janice and Bruce Rhyne; granddog, "Bandit", who he loved dearly; and special friends, Mike and Diane Ledford, Mark Conner, Patsy Dean and Ronald Patterson.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ralph James Eckard and Winnie Matherson Eckard and grandson, Christian Alexander Rhyne.
A funeral service will be held 2 pm Monday, January 7, 2019 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Andy Raines.
The family will receive friends 1 – 2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
Entombment will be in Gaston Memorial Park Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rustic Hills Baptist Church, 101 Rustic Circle, Bessemer City, NC 28016.
