He was born November 30, 1952, in Charleston, WV, son of the late James Rufus Cummings and Merle Irene Davis Cummings.

A memorial service will be held 5:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016, at Sunrise Baptist Church 208 Mail Road Kings Mountain.
