Ralph Leemar Woody Sr., 81, of Kings Mountain, passed away on September 28, 2017, at his home.
He was born July 4, 1936, in Gastonia, son of the late Millard and Lila Woody.
Mr. Woody was retired from Waste Management after many years of service.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, October 1, 2017,at Open Bible Assembly Church 106 East Jenkins St. Dallas, officiated by the Rev. Charles Curtis.
The family will receive friends 7-9 pm Saturday, September 30, 2017, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia.
Burial will be at Armstrong Cemetery, Gastonia.
Mr. Woody is survived by his loving wife, Deedie T. Woody; son, Donnie Woody; daughters, Debra West, Sue Kemp, Pamela Bland, Kay Cota; brother, Joe Woody; sister, Colleen Woody; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son, Ralph Leemar Woody Jr.
Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
