Ralph Alfred Whisnant

Ralph Alfred Whisnant, 85, of Gastonia, NC, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 23, 2022.

He was born May 20, 1936, a native of Gaston Co., son of the late Paul James and Beulah Mae (Smith) Whisnant.

Ralph was a US Air Force Veteran. He retired from AMP, Inc., with over thirty years of service. He brought joy to everyone he met. Ralph was a lifelong and charter member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Gastonia, NC.

In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, and love of his life, Loria Lea Messer Whisnant; and sister, Martha Pauline Walls.

Ralph is survived by his daughters, Angela McClure (Mark), Sandra Whisnant (Sam Ergle); brother, Earl Whisnant (Nancy); grandsons, David Coggins and Dylan McClure (Talia); and great grandson, Alexander McClure.

A private graveside service was held at Hollywood cemetery, Gastonia, NC, and was officiated by his lifelong friend and coworker, Pastor David Stewart.
