Ralph "Tommy" Stevens

Ralph "Tommy" Stevens, 79, Cramerton, NC, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Jackson Co., NC, on April 23, 1943, to the late J.D. and Eva Holden Stevens.

Tommy was a church member at the Gospel Light Holiness Church, Gastonia, NC. He also was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was very active; yet had a stubborn side, too. He would do anything for anyone, especially those in need. Tommy also served in the US Navy and retired from Carolina Mills.

In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by his brother, Earl Stevens; sisters, Geneva Giles, Helen Stevens, and Hazel Stevens.

Tommy is survived by his loving wife, of over 57 years, Shirley Stevens; son, Ralph Stevens Jr. (Wendy Postell); daughters, Marie Stevens (Jerry Hensley), and Sonia Harris (David Harris); grandchildren, Eric Clayton, Brian Thorn, Jessica Moore, Anthony Stevens, Angela Stevens, Brittany Stevens, Thomas Stevens, III, and Anna Stevens; and great-grandchildren, Christian Thorn and Addison Hensley.

A funeral service officiated by Rev. Jerry Willard will take place Monday, May 9, 2022, 2pm, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC.

Family will receive friends two hours prior to service at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia, NC.
