Ralph Briggs I

Dallas, NC- Ralph Briggs I, 81, of Dallas was surrounded by family when he went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 13, 2014 at Alexandria Place, Gastonia. Ralph is preceded in death by: his parents, James and Guinn Briggs, son, James Martie Briggs; sisters, Ruth Keller and Linda Costner. Ralph is survived by: his wife, Nettie Duncan Briggs of Dallas, NC, three sons, Chip and Angela Briggs of Dallas, NC, Dale and Josie Briggs of Dallas, NC, and Mike and Marie Briggs of Lincolnton, NC.; sixteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Coy and Delane Briggs of Gastonia, NC; two sisters Dorthy Hall of Lincolnton, NC and Marilyn and Gene Hamilton of Lincolnton,NC. Visitation will be Thursday at 2:00 - 4:00 pm at Full Independent Gospel Church, Dallas, NC. The memorial service will be following the visitation at the church. Pastor Willard (Buck) Whitted will be conducting the service. Burial will follow at Long Creek Cemetery in Dallas, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Full Independent Gospel Church-1206 Rosewood Dr., Dallas, NC 28034. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
