Ralph Dellis Elders, 91, of Dallas, passed away peacefully at the Robin John House in Dallas, NC, on October 7th, 2026. Dellis was a man of quiet strength, humor, and a deep devotion to family and friends.

Born in Swain County, NC, he was the son of the late Thurman Elders and Alta Davis Elders. He retired from Burlington Industries in Ranlo, NC, where he worked for 40 years. He enjoyed gardening and sharing that bounty of gardening with family and friends. He was an avid deer hunter for many years. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

Dellis was preceded in death by his loving parents, his wife of 65 years, Nell Vada Elders who passed away in September of 2020. Three sisters, Emogene Dills, Macy Dills and Barbara Anderson, three brothers, Cecil Elders, Houston Elders and Sylvester "Chub" Elders. Also, fiancée, Robin McDonald to Steve Elders.

Dellis is survived by his children, Debby Cloninger (Donnie), Steve Elders and Jeff Elders; his sister, Joyce Berry (Andy); brother, Gary Elders (Wanda); granddaughters, Laureen Rogers (Chris), and Cierra Harris; grandson, Jeffrey Elders; and many special great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

All services will be private.
