Rachel Louise Rayfield

Rachel Louise Rayfield, 73, of Bessemer City, passed away August 6, 2012, at her home. She was born March 15, 1939 in Gaston County, daughter of the late Samuel Lemuel and Ruth Wyatt Mathis. The family would like to thank Dr. Ajao, the staff of Gaston Memorial Hospital and her Urologist, for their care of Mrs. Rayfield. The family will receive friends 7-9 Tuesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, Gastonia. She is survived by: her sons and daughters in-law, Larry and Lucia Stone of Bessemer City, Dean Stone of Rock Hill, Kimberly and Edward McManus of Rock Hill; sister, Ann Marchionda of Denver, NC; 35 grandchildren and great grandchildren; all of her friends at Lake Wylie. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: her husband, Kenneth Stone Sr.; son, Kenneth Franklin Stone Jr.; brother, Bill Mathis; sister, Faye Rector. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to charity of donor's choice. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium.
