Rachel Jeanette Gleeson

Rachel Rice Seagle Gleeson, 83, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Monday, December 16, 2024, at Wellington House in Gastonia, NC.

She was born in Gaston County on February 18, 1941, to the late John and Georgia Rice.

Rachel retired from Parkdale Mills after a long career in textiles. She was an avid seamstress. She loved her family and to travel.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her 1st husband, James L. Seagle Sr.; 2nd husband, Danny Lloyd Gleeson; brother, John Earl Rice; sister, Myra Love.

Rachel is survived by her sons, James L. Seagle Jr., Timothy Seagle; daughter, Cindy Seagle Williams; sister, Mary "Coot" Rice; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, December 24, 2024, 5:30 PM, at 413 S. Chester Street, Blacksburg, SC.
