Rachel Russell Falls

Rachel Russell Falls, 79, of Gastonia, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, July 21, 2017, with the family by her side.

She was born March 23, 1938, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Jack and Velma Russell.

Rachel retired after 40 years from Matthew-Belk, where she was a manager over the lingerie department. She was the Exalted Ruler of the Elks Lodge #1634 from 2015-2017. She loved books and was an avid reader.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Stephen Falls, Sr. and brother, Edwin Russell.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Stephen Falls Jr.; grandchild, Alicia Gail Stewart and husband, Nathan; great grandchildren, Thomas Stewart and Sophia Stewart; and caregiver, Angela Flowers.

All services are private.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
