Portia Narron Jones

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Portia Narron Jones, who left us peacefully on November 3, 2025, at the age of 82.

Born on April 27, 1943, in North Carolina, Portia spent her final years in Clover, South Carolina, where she touched the lives of everyone around her.

Portia was a dedicated security clerk with Duke Energy for 32 years at the Catawba plant, and she also had a colorful career in textiles with Pharr Yarns in Clover. Before that, she worked at Shalecross in Selma, NC. Known for her warm smile and kind heart, Portia had a special love for flowers and enjoyed spending her time sewing. Her creativity and commitment were evident not only in her hobbies but in her service as a member of the Eastern Star (Alpine Lodge) and Bethany ARP Church, where her faith flourished for many years.

Throughout her life, Portia cherished her family deeply. She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Donald Jeff Jones, and their son, Jason Jones.

Portia was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Rebecca Narron, her son Jeffrey Jones, and her sister Leta Gold.

A funeral service to honor Portia's life officiated by Rev. Dr. Benjamin Glaser, will be held at Bethany ARP Church - 1400 Highway 161 N, Clover, SC 29710.on November 7, 2025, at 3:00 PM, with a visitation at the church, at 2:00 PM. Following the services, she will be laid to rest at the church cemetery.

Portia will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her loving spirit will always be a part of our lives.
