In Loving Memory of Pong Nalab

April 1, 1974 - October 5, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pong Nalab, a beloved husband, father, stepfather, family member, and friend. Born on April 1, 1974, Pong lived a life marked by love, hard work, kindness, and devotion to those closest to him.

Pong made his home in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, where he enjoyed spending time outdoors and appreciated the simple pleasures of nature. Whether enjoying outdoor activities, gathering with family and friends, or lending a helping hand to someone in need, Pong embraced life with a generous heart and warm spirit.

He was the devoted husband of Bangone Chanthalangsy and a loving father to Ponsavan Eliston, David Nalab, and Dave Nalab. He was also a caring stepfather to Xayaphone Thongsamouth and Phetsamone Thongsamouth, whom he loved and supported as his own. His family was the center of his world, and he took great pride in being a source of strength, guidance, and encouragement for those he loved.

Those who knew Pong will remember his kindness, his willingness to help others, and the joy he brought to every gathering. He had a way of making people feel welcome, understood, and valued. His laughter, wisdom, and caring nature will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Pong leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and dedication that will continue to live on through his family and the countless lives he touched. While his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Bangone Chanthalangsy; his daughter, Ponsavan Eliston; his sons, David Nalab and Dave Nalab; his stepsons, Xayaphone Thongsamouth and Phetsamone Thongsamouth; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will cherish his memory always. The South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service is honored to serve the Nalab family.
