Phyllis Wells

Phyllis Jean Greene Wells, 62, of Gastonia, passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at her residence.

She was born on December 22, 1958, in Gaston County, to the late Oscar and Betty Barber Greene.

Phyllis was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Gastonia. She was an avid reader, and loved the mountains. Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Greene; sisters, Doreen Fralick, and Edith Garland; and daughter, Kalee Treece.

Left to cherish Phyllis' memories are her husband of 29 years, James Wesley Wells; daughters, Katie Miller (David), and Erica Pruitt (Wes Anthony); brothers, Joe Greene (Anna); sister, Sheila Lee (Danny); brother-in-law, Jackie Fralick; special niece, Krystal Ledford; grandchildren, Airman Christopher "Bubba" (Haliegh), and Emily "Sissy Girl" Sutton; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A graveside service, officiated by Rev. Junior Morris, will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Westview Gardens in Bessemer City, NC.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Gaston County – 258 E Garrison Blvd, Gastonia, NC 28054.
