Phyllis Jean Ross

Phyllis Jean Ross, 65, of Bessemer City, NC, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

She was born January 19, 1957, in Gaston Co, NC, daughter of Catherine Ross and the late Robert McGill Ross.

Phyllis was a member of Grace Lutheran, Bessemer City. She loved her animals, especially her cats. She also enjoyed being home and spending time with her family, especially her mother. She had an associate degree, and was the secretary at Flint Groves Baptist Church, Gastonia, for 18 years.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brother, Robert David Ross and wife, Shirley; sister, Marilyn Ross Wooten and husband, Jim; nephew, John Wooten and wife, Camille; niece, Anna Wooten; and special cat, Tom.

A graveside service will be held 3pm on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC, officiated by Pastor Orovitz.
