Phyllis Moore

Phyllis Moore, 70, of Gastonia, passed away June 24, 2022, at her residence.

A Gaston County native, she was born October 9, 1951, daughter of the late Denoise and Dorcas Meeks.

Phyllis was a member of Vestibule AME Zion Church in Kings Mountain.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Denoise Meeks Jr., Barbara Meeks Sledge, and Jerry Meeks.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 49 years, Michael Moore; daughters, Michelle Moore and Chad Gingles, Tina Moore and Kamari Daniels; brothers, Russell Meeks and wife Mary, Michael Meeks, Kendall Meeks and wife Susan; sisters, Gloria Meeks and John Williams, Sandra Sadler; grandchildren, Jalilah Burris and husband Ladarius, Mikayla Boyce, Jaylen Moore, and Jalik Dee; great-grandchildren, Camille Burris and Aubrey Moore.

A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Greg Floyd, will be held 1:00 pm on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Vestibule AME Zion Church, 2175 Vestibule Church Rd., Kings Mountain, NC.

Quiet Hour will be from 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm at the church prior to the service.
