Phyllis Lynn Hill

Phyllis Hill, 68, of Clover, SC, passed away September 11, 2024, at her home in Clover, SC.

She was born February 29, 1956, in West Alexandria, OH to the late Wilbur and Ruby Stringfield.

Phyllis worked at Market Street Buffet for 20 years. She loved serving others. She never spoke a bad word about any one. She assisted her husband with his work with the American Legion and VFW. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and faithful friend. She truly devoted her life to caring and serving others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 44 years, John Leroy Hill; brothers, Daniel Stringfield, Randall Stringfield; and an infant sister.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Brian and wife Cindy, and Mike and wife Jessica; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; brother, Larry Stringfield; sisters, Patricia Back, Linda Shaffer, Brenda Davidson, Diane Couch, and Zelma Wise.

The family will gather at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, beginning at 10:00 am. A service to remember Phyllis' life will begin at 11:00 am in the chapel.

A private interment will be held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, in Columbia, SC, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
