Philip Hadley Clapp Jr.

Philip Hadley Clapp Jr., 75, of Gastonia, passed away September 30, 2023, at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas.

He was born in Bangor, Maine on October 3, 1947, son of the late Philip Hadley Clapp Sr. and Marie Arsenault Clapp.

Mr. Clapp was a US Army veteran and was employed by Blu-Gas.

He loved his motorcycle and his cats, and enjoyed jazz and blues music.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sally Clapp.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Nikola Botzko Clapp; children, Heather Bridges (David C.), Todd Clapp, Adam Clapp (Frewoini); brother, David Clapp; sister, Elizabeth Ann Pullen; grandchildren, Jasmine Moonie, Destani Rollins, Lilah Clapp, Hayden Clapp; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Moonie and Braidyn Moonie.

A family will receive friends 5:30-7:00pm, Monday, October 9, 2023, at First Assembly of God - 777 S. Myrtle School Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

A memorial service will follow the visitation at 7:00pm, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Assembly, 777 S. Myrtle School Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052 or Robin Johnson House, 5005 Shepards Way Drive, Dallas, NC 28034.
